Others' Comics
This is a section dedicated to comics that I think deserve more recognition than what they get.
Death's Untold Story
by Phooka
Description:
He's in almost every religion (sometimes as the opposite gender). He's a character often illustrated in countless works of fiction. He is Death. But what happens when he's not out reaping? When he's not grim? What's the untold side of his story? All these questions are answered inside. Welcome to Death's Untold Story.
My Opinion:
It's the small things and pure, dry wit of my luffies, Phooka, that makes this comic pure awesome. Seriously. The little bits of humor on the pages (like Hubert's teeth being stuck in the table on page 4) makes it enjoyable for anyone without the use of foul language and vulgar references. It's clean, witty humor, and I love it like no other ^^
Bad Touch
by JrStrange
Description:
Old movie classics, political figures and odd-ball shenanigans are rolled up and smoked by old hippies in a run-down warehouse in Detroit, spewed onto sheets of newsprint that are scanned and presented to you as the epic drug-trip that is: Bad Touch.
My Opinion:
This is, quite possibly, one of the funniest comics I have ever read. EVER. It's mildly disturbing sometimes, but that only adds to the refreshing eccentricity of it. I really can't believe that it doesn't have more fans. What the hell is wrong with these people?!
Our Time in Eden
by Gibson Twist and Ben Steeves
Description:
A story of lost innocence, lost direction and lost hope.
My Opinion:
I can't even begin to describe how appealing the art in this comic is. Doubled with a story that holds attention like no other (Seriously. I practically squeak with joy when it updates.), this is something that should be published and handed out to people on the street, THAT'S how good it is.
Pictures of You
by Gibson Twist
Description:
Pictures of You is the memoire of Peter Morris and the best friends he ever lost. Comic and tragic, it is a rollercoaster of sex, drugs and rock n roll.
My Opinion:
The beginning is a bit wordy, but the words are elegant and meaningful. Don't let their quantity distract you from their quality. Overall, this comic manages to be both hilarious and poetic. It's thoroughly enjoyable, and I suggest that you read it as soon as you have time.
